Throughout the summer, from June to August, the squares, streets and quayside of Alassio play host to a huge variety of cultural activities and events. Art, fiction and poetry, food and wine, music and theatre, cinema: there is truly something for everyone!
The town’s bond with culture dates back to 1974 when a very young Piero Angela made his début as a contributor to the “Meet the Author” initiative. Since then, we have been fortunate to play host to a huge number of prominent personalities from the Italian art scene and in 1994 the Alassio Centolibri – Un Autore per l’Europa prize was launched. So on those warm summer evenings as you walk through the narrow lanes after relaxing down the beach or a pre-dinner drink with friends, you may stumble upon a book presentation, a theatrical performance, or an outdoor film screening. To make sure you don’t miss a moment, keep an eye on the events calendar!
