Passo Ginestro A scenic loop that passes through the characteristic villages of the Albenga hinterland, such as Villanova, Garlenda and Casanova Lerrone.
The route also includes challenging climbs, with gradients reaching up to 10%, and follows roads where professional riders compete in the Trofeo Laigueglia. The effort is richly rewarded by the peace and beauty of a natural landscape, far from traffic. @@CONTEUTO1@@
The ride starts from Alassio, heading toward Albenga and onto SP 6 in the direction of Passo del Ginestro. The first 11 km are mostly flat, passing through Villanova di Albenga and Garlenda, where the climb begins. The 15 km ascent starts with a steady 4% gradient up to Casanova Lerrone (cyclist’s fountain), then continues with gentle ups and downs to the village of Vellego. A short, steep 10% section leads to the final 5 km—truly a tough challenge! From the summit, enjoy a descent toward Testico, then a final run down to Alassio. The peace and complete absence of traffic will make all the effort worthwhile.
