Tour of Testico A classic loop starting and ending in Alassio, perfect for enjoying breathtaking views with the pleasure of cycling, with moderate effort. The popular Testico route tackles the climb to Capo Mele, winds through the lush Val Merula, before returning to Alassio along a picturesque ridge offering stunning views of the Val Lerrone.
The ride starts from the center of Alassio, heading west. After tackling Capo Mele, the first of the iconic Milano–Sanremo climbs, you reach Andora and turn right into the valley road toward Stellanello, where a manageable 7 km climb leads up to Testico. Just past the summit, a stop at the cyclist’s fountain on the left is a must. The route then winds through gentle ups and downs for about 11 km along the ridge between the Lerrone and Merula valleys, before finishing with the descent back into Alassio. A classic route much loved by cyclists, suitable for everyone—it’s satisfying without being too demanding.
